Malleo River

Malleo River

Famous all around the World, the Malleo River runs out from the Tromen lake, witch is in the main Andes mountain chain, runs through an extensive and beautiful valley and finally flows into the Alumine River. We can say Malleo is the perfect dry fly river.
Light tackle and thin tippets will be needed to get to enjoy this majestic stream. Easy wadding will help you to get to cast the necessary distance to show the flies to beautiful browns and rainbows that are just exactly in the place they should.

Runs, rifles, rocky or sandy bottoms, cut banks, deep pools...... Malleo ..... just too perfect!

DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR FAVORITE 3, 4 or 5 WEIGHT ROD !!! If you don't have one, we will provide one for you!

  Quilquihue River

Smaller than the Malleo, this river is also a favorite for dries and nymphs. At the very beginning of the season a lot of water runs through it, but fast, this river drops it's water level till it's get ideal flow for most of the season. Later in the season y can look a little shallow, but still surprises are waiting in every shade and pocket.

Wadding is easy, it's ideal for beginners but also great for the experts.

Most of the necessary cast are short, but a precise cast with certainly turn a nice brown to rise to your dry.

Just 15 minutes from San Martin de los Andes, and you will be fishing superb waters with private access

Aluminé River

Bigger than Malleo and Quilquihue, the Alumine is one of the rivers we usually do float trips The average traveling time to the places we start the float trips is about one hour, and you can choose between daily floating trips and fishing for 2 or 3 complete days too.
We provide full equipped campsites to make this the most fun experience enjoying the area wilderness.

Water structure is perfect to fish it from the raft and also, jump out from it and wade fish some of the big runs and riffles.

Either Beginners or Experts will enjoy this program, depending the time of the season and water level, we will fish both dries-nymphs & streamers...

Caleufú River

"What an experience, superb fishing, amazing sceneries......" That what fishermen say and we believe so! The season to float Caleufu is not to long. Starts at the very beginning of the season (November) and normally stops being floatable at mid January.

The experience of doing Caleufu's program is intense, depending the water flow, you can do it in 2 days or three, that means camping 1 or 2 nights at the river banks.
A lot of strikes, and action and big asados (barbeques) with some good Argentinean red wine at night.

The rivers runs from a high mountain valley to a wide open one.

Views are postcards all the way! Book this one! Almost 60km of fun! Beginners and experts will enjoy this one a lot!

Chimehuín River

Provably the most famous river of the area and Patagonia Argentina The reason is, without doubt, the beauty and the quality of the fishing.
The Chimehuin runs crystal clear through a long valley, providing a lot of shelter and structure for big fish to live. It borns in the Huechulaufquen Lake (where the popular BOCA of the Chimehuin is) and runs fro about 60 km till it flows into the Alumine forming a bigger river called Collon Cura.

This river holds all the records. Mounters browns and rainbows were caught at the main mouth (Boca) and also in some named pools spread along his way to the Alumine. Rocky bottoms and shady banks covered with willows, make this river a special place for trout & for us!

Wade fishing and dayly floating trips can be done. You need to try Chimehun ...

Colón-Curá River

The biggest river of the area The Chimehuin river adds its waters to the Alumine forming the Collon Cura river. Still keeps the same structure as the Alumine, but it becomes wider and slower, forming big long runs and deep pools. In some sections this river divides its waters in some channels forming islands and in some cases small lagoons, very productive in early season when the water levels are still high. Bottoms are normally rocky, but easy to wade.
We do mostly floating trips just for the day, but It can be combined with an upper float on the Alumine, adding the chance to spend one night camping on the river bank enjoying this beautiful stretch of water.

Streamers and big dries (attractors & terrestrials) are normally used. A sinking tip style line will be very usefull to move big browns form the bottom.....
